The one year builder‘s warranty remains in force from one year of the date of closing, and continues in force even if the home changes ownership within the first year. Phillippe Builders guarantees the new home to be free of omissions and defects, and extends the opportunity to remedy an issue at the 60 day and 11 month marks. Homeowners will mail their 60 day and 11 month warranty punch lists to the main office via certified mail. The address is: Phillippe Builders Warranty Program, 3500 Union Ave, Steger, IL 60475.
The one year builders‘ warranty covers parts, material, and labor in the correction of any defects in electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, as well as cosmetic features like floor finishes and carpeting, and seals in the windows and doors. Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear. Phillippe Builders will not warranty items that were not furnished by Phillippe Builders and were not included in the purchase price of the home.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
If an emergency occurs, please call us immediately and we will make arrangements to correct the problem as soon as possible.
Outside of business hours you may contact your subcontractor directly from the Phillippe Builders Subcontractors list provided to you in your Home Buyer Orientation Packet at closing.
Some examples of what is specified as an emergency include electrical outages and/or sparks, furnace outages, or any situation that makes the home uninhabitable.
